10: The hunt is on

[The SFC comes on, and Crowley looks a lot more serious than usual.]

...A few days ago, as you might have heard, a man named Aziraphale was kidnapped from his home by a man named Enjin. Right now, we have no whereabouts where he is, but before you lot go and do a search party, I have to give you a few warnings.

First of all, what Enjin looks like- well, he's a catboy. I mean, he has glasses, this really tacky fur coat, and these two cat ears on his head. And most of the time he looks incredibly smug. But don't let his ridiculous appearance make you think that he's not hostile.

Enjin is dangerous. Don't think that your mighty magical powers or prowess in fighting will be able to defeat him. He can read your mind like a book, and even cast illusions to make himself seem like he's your friend. Overall, he's not easy to beat, so don't go rushing onwards like chickens with your heads cut off, because it will not help you.

Akina Hiizumi knows about the guy- ask him if you have any questions.

Let's get Aziraphale back where he belongs.

Stay where you are and don't go outside unless you have somebody else with you. He came for Aziraphale first, he might come for you next. If you see him, run the other direction and don't look back.

[He doesn't answer her question- he just goes and puts his head on her shoulder as he leans forward]

[This was strange, even for her, it was strange. His behavior, even if drunk, was a bit off.]

[He winces, then backs away.]

I'm making a fool of myself, aren't I?I-I think I'm going to sober up now. The alcohol isn't helping...

[He gets a pained look on his face as the alcohol leaves his system, and just like that, he's sober.]

[She can't quite figure out what to say.]

[And he's just going to walk to the door because his dignity, he lost it. D:]

[He rubs his forehead in slight frustration.]

Stupid me- just because there's a crisis doesn't mean I drink all the alcohol I want to...

[She's going to ignore that last statement, because it's what she used to do.]

[Crowley looks up at her and sighs. She did care about him in a way, didn't she?]

...Okay, I won't. What do you want me to do?

[Crowley opens his mouth to protest, but closes it when he realizes she's right.]

All right, it's true, I'm actually not responsible for any of this. Happy?

[She gives him a look.]

No, because I'm not the one who needs convincing.

[She has a good point. Crowley frowns before taking a seat on a nearby chair.]

Then convince me.

I don't even know where your problem starts. How am I supposed to convince you?

[Crowley just shrugs.]

One of my friends has just been captured under my nose by one of my enemies. Just try and convince me. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't.

[He's just silent at that. What does he say? That because the angel was captured and he didn't realize it was too late, it's practically his fault. That, by offering up himself for a trade, he hut the angel when Enjin disagreed?]

...Can we not talk about this? I don't want to drive myself up the wall.

[She leans against the wall, watching him intently.]

[And he leans back in his chair, watching her intently.]

So, want to do something other than just lounging about and talking about my problems?
